Tribute & Message From The Family

Retired French Teacher at Lowell High School

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Ronald by adding your memories and photos.

Ronald F. Boisjoly, a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, beloved husband of Claudette E. (Houle) (Donohue) Boisjoly, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016,  at the Lowell General Hospital  Saints Campus, surrounded by his family. He was 75.

Ron was born in Lowell on December 7, 1941, a son of the late Joseph Antonio and Isabell (St. Cyr) Boisjoly.

He was educated in the Lowell schools and graduated from Rivier College with a masters in French. He furthered his education by living and studying in France.

Ron was a french teacher at Lowell High School, retiring after more than 30 years. While there he organized and conducted yearly trips to Europe with his students.

Ron had a zest for life. He enjoyed traveling, especially to France. He liked to sit at the beach in the sun, whether it was locally or in Aruba. Ron enjoyed tending to his garden and greenhouse. He also enjoyed painting and drawing. An easygoing and relaxed person, Ron enjoyed the company of others.

Surviving him besides Claudette, with whom he would have celebrated 31 years of marriage today, are her daughters and son in law, Carol and Scott O'Neil of Lowell, Nancy Donohue of Boston; her two grandchildren, Allison and William O'Neil;  two brothers and sisters in law, Russell and Carol Boisjoly of New York, Richard and Karen Boisjoly of Maine and several nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his brother Roger of Utah.
